Meeting Your Construction and Fabrication Needs for Over 80 Years

Walter Yoder
founded Walter N. Yoder & Sons, Inc. as a plumbing contractor in
1927. The company grew and expanded through the years as Walter Yoder
brought two of his sons, Bill Yoder and John Yoder, Sr., into the business.
Yoders founded and operated Pinto Utilities, Inc., a public utility
company providing water and wastewater service for the Bel Air and
Glen Oaks communities until 1993.
In 1969, as president, John Yoder, Sr. expanded business opportunities
in the industrial markets and metal fabrication, including the founding
of Potomac Metal & Supply Company, a sister metal fabrication company.
Upon the passing of Bill Yoder, John Yoder, Sr. acquired the companies
in 1971.
In the 1980s, the Yoder Companies expanded into the real estate
market, with the development of Lakewood, founded by John Yoder,
Jr. in 1987,
and Windover Hills, both upscale subdivisions in Mineral County,
West Virginia.
In 1999, the company ownership passed on to the third generation.
The company is now owned and operated by John Yoder, Jr., President.
John
is a registered professional engineer and graduate of West Virginia
University, holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical
Engineering.
With anticipation of the fourth generation, Yoder has invested
well over a million dollars in state of the art equipment and
facilities over the past two years. His daughter Lori is currently
active
in
the business as administrative assistant, and his son Jason attends
West
Virginia University, majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Business.
